The first three races will be based at Simonstad farm in Vegårshei.

The organizer has been allowed to “monopoly” the property during the racing days, except for the farmhouse.

This allows most side activities to take place indoors: secretariat, timekeeping, the Trimtex shop, press, storage. And if the weather turns really bad we may be able to offer “ indoor assembly area” in the barn.

Lars Simonstad tells about his farm:

The farmhouse dates from 1690, but was rebuilt and enlarged in 1893.
The storehouse also dates from 1690.
The outhouse was built in 1909, and enlarged in 1981.
The washhouse was built in the 1890s and enlarged in the 1930s.

The farm has 1000 acres forest land. There are plenty of roads on the property. Approx. 10 acres are arable land.

At present there are no animals on the farm (only 2 cats).

The family has owned the farm since 1870.

The lake below the farm has perch and trout.

The Simonstad farm is fairly typical of the Vegårshei area, with rather poor conditions for agriculture according to today's requirements. The forest is good, with a lot of mature trees, and large areas of young forest.
